FAQs
- Are Jems condoms really safe? Yes! The Jems condom is a staple of safer sex and made with only trusted ingredients (natural latex and pure silicone lubricant) that are free of potentially harmful ingredients. All Jems condoms are electronically tested for safety. Batch testing includes air burst testing, dimensional testing and leak testing. Condoms are considered a Class II medical device and Jems condoms are cleared by the USA FDA. Jems also meets all regulatory requirements set out by Health Canada and are certified and approved under the Medical Device Regulations.
- What if I am allergic to latex? Jems condoms are made from natural rubber latex. A small number of people may have a latex allergy—if you suspect you might be one of them, it's best to avoid contact with latex products (like balloons, gloves, or condoms) and consult a healthcare provider for testing.
- How do I use a condom? Every box of Jems condoms comes with clear, step-by-step instructions. With a standard one-size fit, the 3-pack is a great place to start and get comfortable.
- Can I use lubricants with Jems condoms? Use only water-based or silicone-based lubricants with Jems condoms—these keep the latex strong and safe. Avoid oil-based products like Vaseline, lotion, or coconut oil, as they can weaken latex and cause breakage.
