Natural Beauty

American Clay creates surfaces reminiscent of classic interiors throughout history. Bring the natural warmth and sunshine of Provence into your kitchen...take a bath surrounded by the tranquil and earthy feel of a Japanese spa...travel to a vibrant Tuscan Villa every time you enter your dining room. Whether you live along the California coast, in an urban London townhome, or on a sprawling Calgary ranch, the possibilities are endless with American Clay.

Natural Alternative

American Clay plasters are a natural way to finish any interior. Non-toxic and made in the U.S.A., these plasters are a healthy alternative to paint, wallpaper, cement, acrylic and gypsum plasters. American Clay offers eight plaster finishes, hundreds of colors, unlimited textures, and a depth not found in other finishes.

Create A Healthy Room

Clay plasters help regulate humid air inside buildings by absorbing and releasing moisture naturally — responding to changes in the interior space. Warm to the touch in winter and cool to the touch in summer, these plasters bring healthier comfort to interior spaces.

Product Features + Benefits

American Clay’s Forté plaster line offers added durability. They are 10 times stronger* than the Original finishes! *Average strength and durability results according to experiments completed by American Clay.

Both Forte + Original finishes:

FORTE PLASTERS

Forté Base - a base coat material which can be applied over a properly prepared substrate. Most surfaces require a general priming system which includes a specific list of approved primers to be mixed with a suitable primer sand additive (a fine or anti-slip sand is suitable and should be available at a local piant or hardware store). Forté Base can also be used as a finish coat (in a two coat process) for those looking for a suede-like texture.

Forté Finish -  the strongest of all the American Clay plasters, allowing you to achieve a wall finish equally as sturdy as it is stunning! This plaster offers a soft, smooth, waxy texture.

Forté White - a pre-mixed plaster that is designed and formulated to be as white and bright in color as is "earthly" possible. For those desiring the classic and elegant appearance of traditional white plasters, this is the natural solution. This plaster can be suede-like or smooth and waxy depending on application technique and preference.

ORIGINAL PLASTERS

Loma™ - the original earth plaster and best-selling product. It conveys the essence of suede through its sensuous matte surfaces. Made with reclaimed marble sand and multiple clays, this patented formula offers a remarkable breadth of surface possibilities.

Porcelina™ - satin-smooth and easily blended for a marble-like surface. This product is often compared to the Venetian plasters of Italy. The quality of Porcelina™ is similar to the "porcelain" ceramic for which it was named.

Lomalina™ - integrates the best of two worlds...smooth porcelain-like finish combined with the luminous and subtle texture of Loma™. With the application ease of Loma™ and the silky softness of Porcelina™, Lomalina™ is a truly desirable finish.

Marittimo™ - a name created with the sea (or "mar") at its core. Marittimo™ uses recycled, crushed shells from the U.S. Gulf Coast. This finish lends itself to a smooth waxy feel or a textured sand finish depending on your choice of application.

Enjarre™ (n-har-ray) - the only single-coat product. This application eliminates some of the labor and cost typically involved in finishing a wall. It can be applied to achieve a range of finishes, from semi-smooth to rustic or textured.

All Original finishes can be used with any of American Clay's color pigment offerings - all 224 standard and blended colors.
