farrow & ball

Farrow & Ball paints and paper were born and bred in Dorset, England. They have resided there since John Farrow, and fellow paint pioneer, Richard Ball first founded the company in 1946. Their passion for making paint to original formulations, using only the finest ingredients and age-old methods, is matched by their craftsmen today.

There is true alchemy to Farrow & Ball paints. It’s the high levels of pigment, rich resin binders, and the high refractory nature of their key ingredients that produces their signature immersive depth of colour. And, to ensure their paint meets their obsessively high requirements, they scrupulously test every batch before it even reaches the tin.

With interior and exterior, modern and traditional finishes available in a carefully edited palette of 132 colours, Farrow and Ball’s paints an wallpapers are created to shape homes around the world. Farrow and Ball’s uses their non toxic paint on FSC certified paper to create their magnificent wallpaper.

One of the more quirky distinguishing attributes of Farrow & Ball is their paint names. Always distinct and rooted in the past, their names create a lot of conversation! Generally these names are inspired by nature and their Dorset surroundings, found in historic houses or named after friends of Farrow & Ball.
